Police: Teacher confessed to sex with 16-year-old student
KENNER - Police say a Destrehan High School teacher confessed to investigators about having a sexual relationship with a 16-year-old student.
The alleged confession that 26-year-old Kimberly Naquin made last Thursday was disclosed in a police affidavit.
Police claim Naquin had her first sexual encounter with the girl at the teacher's Kenner apartment in October 2014. Police allege Naquin and the girl had several more sexual encounters in the teacher's apartment and classroom before the relationship ended.
Naquin was booked in St. Charles Parish on charges of carnal knowledge of a juvenile and prohibited sexual conduct between a student and educator.
Naquin is at least the fourth Destrehan High teacher since 2008 to be accused of engaging in inappropriate sexual conduct with a student.
