Police seek to ID cigarette robbers

BATON ROUGE - Police released surveillance photos Friday of three men who detectives said stole cash and thousands of dollars worth of cigarettes from a Baton Rouge gas station.

Police said it happened at the Circle K at 5313 Nicholson Drive early in the morning of March 17. Officers said the three men walked in and "forcefully" took $3,500 worth of cigarettes and an undisclosed amount of cash.

Cpl. L'Jean McKneely with BRPD said the three men had the following descriptions:

* First man - 5'6", 20 - 30 years of age, slim build, thin beard with mustache, wearing a long sleeved denim shirt, blue jeans and black flip flops
* Second man - 5'10" - 6'0", slim build, thin mustache, wearing a black hooded sweater, black pants and a New Orleans snow cap
* Third man - 5'6" - 5'8", slim build, wearing a white snow cap, black jacket, black pants and sunglasses.

Anyone with information about this theft should call the Armed Robbery Division at 389-3845.
