Police say hitchhiker stabbed driver with a syringe
D'IBERVILLE, Miss. - Police say they are searching for a hitchhiker accused of stabbing a driver who picked him up in the neck with a syringe Monday morning.
D'Iberville Police Capt. Clay Jones says the victim noticed a man walking along the shoulder of Mississippi 67 southbound and stopped to give him a ride, according to the Sun Herald (http://bit.ly/1QCczhq ).
When the suspect asked to be dropped off a short while later, police say the suspect pulled out a syringe and stabbed the victim in the neck and ran off.
The victim was taken to a hospital for an evaluation.
The incident was reported at 7:08 a.m.
