WALKER - Police are asking for the public's help in identifying an armed robber that held a Subway cashier up at gunpoint.

Walker Police Department said around 6:15 p.m. Tuesday, a man came into the Subway on Florida Boulevard and waited until all the customers left.

Officers said the man ordered a sandwich in the empty restaurant. When the cashier was handing it over, the man pulled out a gun and demanded all the money from the register.

Reports say the employee handed over all the cash and the man took the money from the employee's tip jar and took off.

Officers believe the man ran along Glascock Street toward Burgess Avenue.

Anyone with information about the identity of the armed robber should call (225) 664-3125.
