Police investigating Saturday morning deadly stabbing
BATON ROUGE- Police are investigating a deadly stabbing where a woman was killed.
Detectives specializing in violent crimes have taken over the investigation at the house where the stabbing happened, on Courtland Circle between Monterrey and Oak Villa.
Police found Lekeisha Duncan, 32, stabbed in the head at the residence.
Numerous police officers have been at the house since the stabbing was reported shortly after 4 a.m. District Attorney Hillar Moore had also arrived by the time the sun came up Saturday.
In a preliminary report, police said they responded to the call and a man answered the door. The man had been stabbed, police said. According to the report, the man told responding officers he had stabbed and killed the woman.
