Police identify human remains found near LSU
BATON ROUGE - Investigators for Baton Rouge Police say the human remains they found near LSU's campus belong to a 56-year-old man.
According to Cpl. Don Coppola with Baton Rouge Police, they found the remains behind the levee near River Rd. and Skip Bertman Dr. around 5:15 p.m. on Saturday. Coppola says the discovery came after a few bystanders in the area stumbled upon the scene.
Investigators say they do not suspect foul play in the death.
The man's family has been notified, but his name has not been released.
