LAFAYETTE - Lafayette authorities have identified the victim whose body was found inside a tool box.

Police said Wednesday the victim is 23-year-old Alannah L. Montalvo, of Lafayette.

Investigtators say Montalvo was in a relationship with a suspect killed in an earlier shooting, 36-year-old Barrett B. Farabee II.

Based on forensic evidence and statements obtained during the course of both investigations, police say Farabee is believed to be responsible for the death of Montalvo, whose body was found inside a tool box about 4 p.m. Tuesday.
