Police: 13-year-old arrested after shooting on Arizona Street
UPDATE: Authorities have arrested a 13-year-old male in connection to the shooting.
According to a release, the 16-year-old victim was transported to a local hospital with injuries that were not considered to be life threatening.
The 13-year-old was booked into the Juvenile Detention Center on charges of attempted first-degree murder, illegal use of a weapon, and illegal possession of a handgun.
Authorities believe the shooting was a result of an altercation.
BATON ROUGE- Authorities responded to an apparent shooting that happened Wednesday night.
The incident occurred around 7:45 p.m. in the 1800 block of Arizona Street.
Sources tell WBRZ that injuries are non life-threatening at this time.
