Pointe Coupee teen dies in early morning crash
VENTRESS, La. - One Lakeland teenager died after his car flipped over.
At 12:27 Sunday morning, the Pointe Coupee Sheriff's Office received a call of an overturned car on a private road in Ventress.
Two teenagers were in the car. The driver, a 16-year-old, died from sustained injuries. The passenger, a 14-year-old, was transported to Pointe Coupee General with non-life threatening injuries.
The Sheriff's Office did not release the names of the drivers. Alcohol is not suspected in the crash.
