MANILA, Philippines - An anti-U.S. rally in the Philippines has turned violent after a police van repeatedly rammed into protesters, leaving several of them bloodied. Wednesday's demonstration was at the American embassy in Manila.

Police later arrested 23 protesters who had gathered to demand an end to the presence of U.S. troops in the country and a dependence on the U.S.
