Pat Shingleton: "November was Colder..."
November was colder than December and colder than January. Welcome to February and the heart of the Winter season. November 14, 15, and 18 included overnight lows at 29 degrees. November 19th was the coldest at 27 with 31 degrees on the 26th. December 25th was the only date where the overnight low dipped to 32 degrees. January 7 logged an overnight low of 28 degrees with January 6th and 17th at 29 and 30 degrees on January 10th. The coldest day in January, 2015 was the 10th at 20 degrees. Some of our readers may remember January 29, 1966. An Arctic blast settled into Louisiana and parked for six days. The daytime high was 20 degrees, the overnight low 15. The consistent cold found City Park Lake fresh frozen with lots of skaters.
