BATON ROUGE - Around a mile of Greenwell Springs Road is closed due to an oil spill.

The blocked off area is just south of Magnolia Bridge Road to Bellingrath Lakes subdivision. Central Fire Department said they’re not sure if a truck hauling oil caused the spill or if it is leaked diesel from the tank of a truck.

Central FD said a sand truck was in route to help with the clean up. There are no injuries or crashes in connection with the spill.q
