One man dead after shooting on Alaska Street
BATON ROUGE - BRPD homicide detectives are investigating a Wednesday night shooting on Alaska Street that left one man dead.
According to a BRPD spokesperson, it happened on the 2700 block of Alaska Street near an apartment around 8:30 p.m. 27-year-old Demond Johnson was shot multiple times and died at the scene.
A caller reported a person lying on the side of the road, but did not give a description of a shooter. BRPD says that a motive to the shooting in not known at the time of this post.
