BATON ROUGE – One person is in custody after a pursuit with police which started at LSU's campus.

The pursuit happened on Tuesday near Highland Road, Thomas Delpit Drive and East Buchanan Street.

According to LSUPD, officers tried to stop a car for speeding when the car fled. The driver of the car stopped and fled on foot, while the passenger of the car remained and was taken into custody.

Police are still searching for the driver.

BRPD assisted LSUPD in the situation.
