One dead in Point Coupee crash
A man is dead after crashing into an Acadian Ambulance head on.
It happened in Pointe Coupee Parish on LA 411 south of US 190 around 7:00 pm Friday evening.
61 year old Brett Bergeron of Lottie, LA was traveling southbound on LA 411 in a 2008 Cheverolet Silverado when he crossed the center line into the lane in the opposite direction.
Bergeron was in his seatbelt, however still encountered fatal injuries.
Peter Woods of Breaux Bridge who was driving the ambulance, as well as another passenger in the vehicle, received minor injuries.
Bergeron died at the scene. Neither drivers are suspected as being impaired.
