One dead in Holiday Court drive-by shooting
BATON ROUGE - Deputies say one person is dead after a shooting on Holiday Court in Baton Rouge Sunday afternoon.
According to the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff's Office, 27-year-old Torrence Tate was suffered a gunshot wound around 5 p.m. and was transported to a local hospital. Deputies say he later died in surgery.
First responders say the shooting happened at the intersection of Holiday Court and Hoover Avenue. That location is near the BREC Rio Drive Park.
Investigators believe Tate was in his vehicle when he was shot by someone traveling in another vehicle, possibly a white Impala.
