Oil group hosting job fair Wed. in Lafayette
LAFAYETTE - The Louisiana Gulf Coast Oil Exposition is hosting a job fair Wednesday at the Cajundome & Convention Center from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. for oil and gas industry companies looking for qualified employees.
Military veterans will get special attention in the form of access to career experts from 8:30 a.m. until 9 a.m. and then interviews with company human resources officials.
LAGCOE, an oil and gas industry nonprofit organization, holds an exhibition every two year. The job fair is held yearly.
Angela Cring, the group's executive director, says the goal is to provide the industry with an outlet for recruiting and facilitate networking between existing and future professionals.
