Nurse, son fined for violating state laws
BATON ROUGE - The former director of nursing at Villa Feliciana Medical Complex and her son have agreed to pay $3,000 in fines for violation of the state nepotism laws.
Sources say the Louisiana Board of Ethics signed off on a consent opinion Friday, ending the case against Linda Williams and her son, Clint, who worked as a nurse supervisor at Villa Feliciana.
The board assessed a $2,000 civil fine against Linda Williams and $1,000 fine against her son.
Linda Williams retired from Villa Feliciana on May 10, 2013.
The state-operated Villa Feliciana is located in East Feliciana Parish. It provides medical care and rehabilitative services to medically complex patients diagnosed with chronic diseases, disabilities and terminal illnesses.
