BATON ROUGE – While drivers had an easy morning commuting to the capital city on Friday, it looks like the evening commute won’t be so smooth.

Just before 3 p.m., most of the traffic congestion is on I-10 eastbound concentrated around the Mississippi River Bridge. There are also slight delays on I-10 eastbound near the Highland Road exit.

DOTD says drivers should expect heavier than normal traffic congestion on I-10 in both directions Friday afternoon.
