NOPD officer killed while transporting suspect
NEW ORLEANS, La. - NOPD officer Daryle Holloway was shot and killed while transporting a suspect Saturday morning.
"He was on duty. He was transporting a prisoner who had been arrested on a previous shift," said Police Chief Michael Harrison. "That prisoner was able to get his hands out of the handcuffs and was able to get a firearm and shot officer Holloway while he was driving."
A manhunt is on for 33-year-old Travis Boys.
Holloway was 46 years old, and a 22 year veteran of the NOPD.
