New Orleans man found dead in a trash can was stabbed
NEW ORLEANS - A garbage collector emptying a trash can in New Orleans discovered a man's body inside.
Authorities say he had been stabbed multiple times.
New Orleans police spokeswoman Dawne Massey says the garbage collector discovered the body while emptying a city-issued trash can into a garbage truck about 9:30 a.m. Monday.
NOLA.com/The Times-Picayune reports police announced that the death is being investigated as a homicide.
The Orleans Parish Coroner's Office has not released the victim's identity or cause of death.
