NEW ROADS - A new clinic connected to the Our Lady of the Lake Physician Group opened this week in New Roads.

The Sisters of St. Joseph Medical Plaza is located on the campus of Pointe Coupee General Hospital at 310 Durel Drive in New Roads.

OLOL said the 11,000 square-foot clinic will be home to five family practice physicians and a nurse practitioner who specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of "a wide range of illnesses and medical issues."

The clinic took a year to build. Appointments can be made Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. by calling (225) 713-2400.
