Multiple MLK Day celebrations held around Baton Rouge
BATON ROUGE - Today many will take time to honor Dr. Martin Luther King during special ceremonies, marches and service projects.
A host of events will be held in the Baton Rouge area honoring the slain civil rights leader.
Here's a list of events and times.

Martin Luther King, Jr. Commemoration Celebration Mount Zion First Baptist Church

*Peace march to follow from Mt. Zion to Galvez Plaza in downtown Baton Rouge
Eden Park area clean up

The Greater St. Luke Baptist Church on 132 N. 23rd St. will distribute cold weather items and soup from 10:30 a.m. to noon for the hungry, homeless, and needy.
