Multiple injuries in fast food gun battle
BATON ROUGE - Police said an armed bystander wounded a gunman who injured several people overnight in shooting at a Baton Rouge fast food restaurant.
Officers said the injured gunman was admitted to a local hospital, and will be booked into the parish prison after his release.
Detectives said the shooting happened just after midnight Friday at a McDonald's on 1544 Harding. Police said three men were injured by a gunman who fired multiple shots in the parking and inside the lobby of the restaurant.
Officers said an armed customer in the restaurant engaged the gunman, wounding him before the shooter fled the scene.
Investigators said they caught up to the suspect after he was admitted to the hospital for his injuries. The three injured victims all had non-life threatening injuries.
