More charges for ex-teacher accused of sex with juveniles
FRANKLINTON - A former teacher who was arrested in January over accusations of having sex with two students now faces more charges.
The Louisiana Attorney General's Office says 40-year-old Kimberly Cooke was booked Friday on five counts of carnal knowledge of a juvenile. It was her second arrest on sex charges.
On Jan. 14, the former Washington Parish teacher was arrested on accusations of having an inappropriate relationship with two students at Franklinton High School. At that time, authorities said those sexual encounters allegedly took place at Cooke's home and came after her employment with the parish's school system.
It is still unclear as to whether the five counts against Cooke involve the same students.
Online jail records did not list an attorney who could be contacted for comment on Cooke's case.
