PONCHATOULA - A manhunt is underway in Ponchatoula after a high-speed pursuit ended in a crash Wednesday. 

According to the Ponchatoula Police Department, officers pursued the suspect in the area Yokum Road and Sister's Road.

Police say the high-speed chase resulted in a crash, overturning one vehicle. The suspect then fled into a nearby wooded area.

Police have blocked the scene from Yokum and Sister's to the North Haven subdivision as they actively search for the suspect.
