Man falls to his death from tractor trailer
NEW IBERIA - A man was killed when he fell off a tractor trailer hauling farm equipment and was then hit by the trailer Friday morning.
Iberia Parish Sheriff's deputies said the man, only identified as being 58-years-old, was hanging onto the truck as it was crossing railroad tracks when the accident happened. The driver, also not identified by name, is 68. Authorities said they were withholding the name's of those involved and would release the victim's name later.
Deputies said the investigation continues.
