Man crawls through drive-thru window, beats woman
BATON ROUGE - Authorities say a Baton Rouge man crawled through the drive-thru window of a McDonald's and beat the mother of his child inside the restaurant.
The Advocate reports that according to an East Baton Rouge Parish sheriff's report, Malik Patterson assaulted the woman, an employee at the McDonald's, Monday morning over a child support payment. The victim was left unconscious.
The report says Patterson fled, but deputies soon caught up with him nearby.
Patterson allegedly told deputies he drove to the restaurant to deliver his child support payment and became enraged when the woman would not come to the drive-thru window. That's when he crawled through the window and punched the woman.
Patterson was arrested on several charges, including felony second-degree battery. It's unclear if he has an attorney.
