WALKER - Police arrested a man for a rape and armed robbery at a laundromat.

Investigators said Lionel Myles, 40, was charged with aggravated rape, aggravated assault, battery and armed robbery for the altercation at the laundromat on Walker North Road overnight Sunday. Myles was arrested Monday.

The victim told police, Myles asked her for money and after she told him she did not have any, he pulled out a knife, forced her into a bathroom and assaulted her. She said Myles took money from her purse before running away.

Police said they used surveillance video to develop Myles as a suspect and found him hiding in an abandoned building near the laundromat.
