Man arrested with 35 pounds of marijuana
BATON ROUGE - Sheriff's deputies arrested an East Baton Rouge man after they said he was caught with 35 pounds of marijuana at his home.
Deputies charged Joshua B. Scott, 28, with drug possession and possession with intent to distribute.
Members of the sheriff's office Narcotics Division found the weed when they searched Scott's home. Investigators said they also found $12,615 in cash, a scale, plastic baggies and a vacuum sealer.
Agents said the high-grade marijuana was being sold at $3,600 per pound, for a total street value of around $126,000.
Deputies booked Scott into the parish prison and does not have a bond set at this time.
