LAKE CHARLES, La. (AP) - Joshua LeBlanc had nine points and 14 rebounds and Madison Prep put its stamp on Class 2A in its first year in the division as it dethroned Riverside with a 41-33 victory in the LHSAA state championship game.

The Chargers (34-4) held Riverside (28-6) - winner of five of the previous six Class 2A championships - to a Class 2A tournament record-low 33 points. It was the lowest scoring game in the division in tournament history.

The contest went back-and-forth until the final two minutes when Madison Prep ran away with a 10-0 run to lead 39-30 with 20 seconds left.

LeBlanc earned Most Outstanding Player honors. Joshua Anderson led the Chargers with 11 points.

The Rebels were led by Herb McGee with 14 points, followed by Malik Crowfield, who added 13.
