LSU softball improves to 10-0 with 7-1 win over Notre Dame
BATON ROUGE - The LSU softball team is still perfect after 10 games, beating Notre Dame 7-1 on Sunday to move to 10-0 on the 2015 season.
The Tigers and Irish were tied at 1 in the 5th inning, but LSU took advantage of several Irish fielding miscues to take a 4-1 lead after 5, and a 7-1 lead in the 6th.
Sahvanna Jaquish put the finishing touches on the win with a 2-run home run over the left field berm, an exclamation point to a second straight 5 win weekend for the Tigers.
"I actually thought it was going to go foul again and I was going to be so disappointed," Jaquish said. "I feel like our team is relentless and we never take an inning off."
Allie Walljasper (3-0) got the win for the Tigers, who are back on the field Tuesday against Louisiana Tech at Tiger Park at 6pm.
