Loyola student found dead in dorm room

NEW ORLEANS-Loyola University New Orleans student-run newspaper, The Maroon, has reported that a student was found dead in one of the student halls Thursday night.
 
Juliano Mastroianni, international business sophomore was found dead in his bedroom in Cabra Hall Thursday night, the Rev. Kevin Wildes, S.J., university president, confirmed in a statement Friday morning.

“Our hearts go out to Juliano’s family, friends, and classmates, and we hold them in our hearts at this time. Your care, concern, and gentle respect are greatly appreciated,” Wildes said in the email.

The Orleans Parish Coroner arrived around 9:15 p.m. and announced Mastroianni dead on the scene. His body was removed from the building around 9:50 p.m, according to the article.
