Local musician, community leader Earl Taylor dies at 80
BATON ROUGE - Local musician and involved member of the Capital Area community, Earl T. Taylor, died Wednesday morning at the age of 80.
Taylor was a locally and nationally renowned musician who shared his vocal talents and song leadership skills with members of the Methodist faith and beyond. As a lifelong resident of Baton Rouge, he was also active in many community programs and served in administration at Southern University.
Funeral arrangements for Taylor are expected to be released shortly. Check back with WBRZ.com for these details as they become available.
