Kilo of cocaine, 9 pounds of marijuana seized in Iberville Parish drug bust
IBERVILLE PARISH - Authorities announced Monday that a large number of illegal drugs were seized in Iberville Parish.
According to Sheriff Brett Stassi, agents received a tip that the drugs were coming into the parish. Officers seized the shipment, which contained a kilogram of cocaine, nine pounds of marijuana and a number of Xanax and Hydrocodone pills.
The sheriff's office says 35-year-old Amanda Lagarde and 32-year-old Willie Williams have been arrested as a result of the bust. Sheriff Stassi says additional arrests are pending in the investigation.
