Jaws of Life rescue equipment used to cut driver from mangled wreck Sunday
CENTRAL - The driver and sole occupant of a vehicle had to be cut from the mangled wreckage after their vehicle crashed on Sullivan Road Sunday morning.
Firefighters said the driver flipped multiple times at the intersection with Lovett Road around 8 a.m. Rescue tools like the Jaws of Life had to be used to cut the driver from the SUV.
Witnesses said the driver was excessively speeding down the highway when the crash happened.
The driver, who has not been identified, was rushed to the hospital with severe injuries.
