Iberville board approves contract with new superintendent
PLAQUEMINE - The Iberville Parish School Board has unanimously approved a three-year contract for the district's new superintendent, Arthur Joffrion.
Joffrion is set to earn a minimum base salary of $165,250 annually starting Wednesday until Aug. 8, 2019. The board also agreed Monday night to pay him an additional $1,100 a month, in lieu of providing him with an automobile, and another $100 each month to provide him with a cellphone, laptop and other electronic devices.
Joffrion brings to the district more than 20 years of experience.
