High water closed parts of Highland Road overnight
BATON ROUGE - Highland Road closed in front of Highland Road Community Park late Thursday night.
DOTD announced the low-lying area of Highland closed between Highland Oaks and Amiss Drive due to high water. It was unclear when the advisory was issued as to when the road could reopen.
The closure is along a stretch of highway that runs near Bayou Fountain and three large ponds.
