Harvest Festival on False River runs through Sunday
NEW ROADS - There will be an ample supply of fall fun to be had and lovely weather conditions to go with it this weekend at the Fourth Annual Harvest Festival on False River.
People were already turning out to the downtown area in droves as of our 5 p.m. broadcast on Friday evening. Arts and crafts vendors booths are set up and music, rides, food and fun will be on the agenda in New Roads until they shut it down on Sunday.
This year the Harvest Festival was named "New Event of the Year" by the Louisiana Association of Fairs and Festivals based on previous successful weekends. The festival is primed to exceed expectations set by the award with a full line-up of musical acts and record vendor turnout.
The festival, partly sponsored by WBRZ-TV, is located in historic downtown New Roads and runs from Friday, Oct. 17 to Sunday, Oct. 19. For the full list of bands, vendors and attractions, check out the fest's website at www.harvestfestivalonfalseriver.com.
