Harris, No. 15 LSU set to take on No. 5 Auburn
BATON ROUGE - When LSU coach Les Miles discusses Brandon Harris, he notes that the offense as a whole has played well when the freshman quarterback is under center.
Harris, who's been promoted to starter for 15th-ranked LSU's game at No. 5 Auburn on Saturday, doesn't sound like he's letting recent success go to his head.
Harris says that as a freshman, he still makes "bonehead mistakes," and that "it's great to play quarterback" at LSU because of all of the talented running backs and receivers around him.
Harris has played in 19 offensive series this season, and 13 of those ended with touchdowns, including the last seven and nine of the last 10.
Auburn coach Gus Malzahn says Harris "has an NFL arm," runs well and "is a threat."
