BATON ROUGE - Habitat for Humanity's Pink Tool Belt Bash will break ground in a couple weeks.

This year's bash is scheduled for Tuesday, August 26th from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Juban's Restaurant. Executive Director Lynn Clark joined us on 2une In this morning to talk about the event. The Pink Tool Belt Bash raises funds for the Habitat for Humanity Women's Build.

"It's all about women helping other women rise above poverty and a good way to do that is to give the stability of a home for their family," Clark explains.

In addition to the Pink Tool Belt Bash, Habitat for Humanity of Greater Baton Rouge has several other projects in the works. They'll start building a new home each Saturday from September 6th-October 4th.
