GONZALES – Four people were arrested and a group in another car are sought after an afternoon shootout on city streets Friday.

Police said there was an argument at a gas station on S Burnside near I-10 around 1 o'clock between people in two cars. After leaving the store, the people in one of the vehicles fired at the other. Police don't believe anyone was hit by the bullets.

Although, a sheriff's deputy saw the event and managed to stop the car where the gunfire came from.

Police said a group of four guys in a black sedan fired at people in a green Lexus. The Lexus drove off as the deputy stopped the other car.

Police revealed their names and charges: Oseco Biggs, 24, Convent; Terraz White, 18, Gonzales; Moses White, 26, LaPlace; and Nathanial Leblanc, 19, Convent.

Biggs and Leblanc are charged with illegal use of weapons; Terran and Moses White are charged with one count of illegal use of weapons and one count of possession of a stolen firearm.

There is a search for the other vehicle, police said.
