Four businesses honored with Douglas Manship, Sr. Torch Award
BATON ROUGE- Four businesses were honored with the 2014 Douglas Manship, Sr. Torch Award for Ethics in Business Tuesday night.
SRS Wealth Management Group, Bozeman Distributors, LWCC/Louisiana Workers Compensation Corporation, and Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center were presented with the honor at the Better Business Bureau event, Torch Awards Banquet, at the L'auberge Casino & Hotel.
The Manship Award was established in 2001 to honor those businesses which exhibit the highest ethical standards of behavior toward customers, suppliers, users, shareholders, employees and the community. An independent panel of judges selected the 2014 winners from a field outstanding businesses.
Also there, the BBB presented its fifth annual scholarship to a high school senior.
In addition to the awards, the night also featured LSU baseball coach Paul Mainieri as the keynote speaker.
