Firefighters work Thursday night blaze
BATON ROUGE - Firefighters worked overnight fighting a fire on Florida Boulevard.
Crews were dispatched to the 2500 block around 10:30. When they arrived, flames were burning through the roof of a building. While they fought the blaze, a part of Florida between North 22nd and North Acadian Throughway was closed.
Brett Buffington, a WBRZ reporter who was on the scene, said firefighters used tools to cut through metal roll-up doors on the building.
The Baton Rouge Fire Department has not released any information about the inferno. A fire investigator arrived on the scene and the department will likely release details overnight.
