Ex-NFL player Sharper to begin changing pleas in rape cases
LOS ANGELES, CA - Former NFL star Darren Sharper is set to appear in one court in person and another via video to enter pleas as he seeks to resolve rape and drugging allegations involving women in four different states.
A change-of-plea hearing is scheduled for Sharper on Monday morning in a courtroom in Los Angeles, where he's accused of sexually assaulting two women.
He's then scheduled to enter a new plea via video conference in Arizona, where he's accused of drugging three women and sexually assaulting two of them.
Similar hearings are expected in Nevada and Louisiana.
Sharper's attorney announced Friday that he has reached agreements with prosecutors in all of the cases.
The 39-year-old Sharper retired from the NFL in 2011 after winning a Super Bowl with the New Orleans Saints.
