Ex-Marine's suicide ends rampage, manhunt
PENNSBURG, PA - An ex-Marine's suicide has ended a rampage that left his ex-wife and five of her relatives dead a week after he lost a custody battle.
Authorities say 35-year-old Bradley Stone's body was found Tuesday in woods near his Pennsburg home, about 30 miles northwest of Philadelphia. They say he died of self-inflicted stab wounds.
Schools in the area that closed during the day-and-a-half manhunt are expected to reopen Wednesday.
Authorities say Stone broke into three homes early Monday and killed his ex-wife; her mother and grandmother; and her sister, brother-in-law and 14-year-old niece. They say a 17-year-old nephew survived by barricading himself in the third floor of his house, but not before he suffered a gaping head wound.
Neighbors say it's a relief he can't harm anyone else.
