Couple dies the same day after 69 years of marriage
TUIFFIN, OHIO- A couple in Ohio that had been married 69 years died eight hours apart and their son says he wasn't surprised since they did everything together.
Gene Warrington was 88 and his wife, Pat, was 86.
They died on December 27 while both were in hospice care. Gene had been able to visit his wife's room and hold her hand a few days before they died.
His son, Phil, says his father knew Pat was in critical condition and told him if she died life wouldn't be fun anymore. Gene died first and Pat died eight hours later.
The couple met in junior high school, got married as teenagers and were inseparable, according to their son.
