Christmas comes early for some BR kids
BATON ROUGE - Hundreds of kids got early Christmas gifts this year.
The annual "Breakfast with Santa" event rolled around once again for the Baton Rouge chapter of the Jack and Jill of America organization.
The group hosted the breakfast amid a toy drive for the kids. Hundreds of bikes and toys were given away as well as free pictures with Santa.
Parents said they were glad for the experience for their children.
"Everybody had a good time. Everybody didn't get what they wanted, but everybody got something," said Nerissa Culbert.
The Jack and Jill organization has been hosting the event for more than thirty years. Event leaders said the left over food from today's breakfast will go to a local food kitchen.
