Catholic throttles Mandeville in Skippers' house
MANDEVILLE - Derrius Guice had 135 yards and 2 touchdowns as Catholic High took down Mandeville 48-0 on Friday night at the home of the Skippers.
The Bears began with a Grayson Walsh touchdown catch that put Catholic High up 7-0 at the end of the first.
Catholic picked it up in the second quarter, adding a field goal, another Ian Brian touchdown throw, and then the Bears added a trick play as Walsh caught a ball at midfield and then tossed it to Guice on the hook-and-lateral: Guice ran it in for a 59 yard yard touchdown.
The Bears led 31-0 at the half, and improve to 2-0 with the win as Mandeville falls to 0-2 this season.
