Casino dealers and friends busted
LAS VEGAS, NEVADA- The Bellagio Casino was taken for more than a million bucks and two former craps dealers and their two friends were arrested and accused of siphoning the money by paying phantom bets.
Authorities say it happened over a period of two years and was reported when another dealer became suspicious. Dealers James Cooper and Mark Branco were arrested in 2014 and were fired.
On Thursday, they were indicted along with two of their friends, Jeffery Martin and Anthony Granito. They are charged with theft and cheating at gambling which carry a ten year sentence.
Prosecutors say Cooper is cooperating in the case.
